Recorders for K-4 Students in the Instrumental Program!
My students need clean, age appropriate melodic instruments including recorders and boomwhackers for the general music classroom. Primary grades need fresh, fun instruments that will energize their learning!

My Students
Students in my music class currently use recycled instruments that have been cleaned and reassigned. This order will provide classes with new school spirit-colored instruments. This order also contains one set of BoomWhackers, pedagogical materials and music, and maintenance necessities.
Our students are innately musical and excel in rhythmic studies.
My goal in the primary grades is to enhance their musical training with fun, team-building musical opportunities that will develop the inner ear. In vocal music, our students are introduced to pitch through singing. In instrumental music, I would like to offer similar instruction with affordable instruments. I want my young students to take instruments home. In Vocal music, they always have their instrument on them! If we can access the student outside of school hours through diligent practice, that child will have the ability to apply the quality instruction that is sporadically offered due to scheduling difficulties. Students in my school are dealing with many outside pressures, home life, family situations, and economic hardship; For many children, music is an outlet for expression and a safe haven. As arts education empowers and inspires our youth, in turn, I am inspired and motivated by them every day.
My Project
Our children deserve more, and through this grant and others, I intend to work for my kids to see to it that they receive an enriching, powerful music class. The whole child is the key here, socially and emotionally as well as skillfully and intellectually. Advocate for our children, believe in them, and they will meet higher standards!
This project will excite our younger students to master skills and build positive practice habits.
With enthusiasm in the classroom and functional, contemporary instruments and materials, the student will succeed. In order to meet differing mental and physical abilities for each class and in lieu of purchasing expensive differing-ability recorders, we can serve our population using BoomWhackers. I support them for students who have difficulties holding and producing tone on the soprano recorder.
