We are a Title I New York City public school. Our school has a very diverse population. We have students that come from different parts of the world. Our school also includes English Language Learners, Special Education, and Gifted and Talented students

My Project
Our New York City Public Schools have been moved to remote learning until further notice. I would love to distribute recorders for students to have an instrument to learn at home. Most people can relate to that lovely plastic instrument that you've learned around third grade. It has brought joy and headache to millions of parents around the world.
I would like to bring the joy of playing the recorder to my students.
The recorder is an amazing little introductory instrument that sets up proper breathing, breath control and develops fine motor and coordination skills but above all, it develops students' cognitive skills and allows for self-expression.
