Help me give my students access to more hands on music experiences using recorders while teaching them the foundations of and the importance of having a music education.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
If this project is fully funded, every 3rd and 4th grader in the school will have the opportunity to learn an instrument that is accessible to all students. By learning the recorder, the students are able to further their music education in a hands-on music learning experience. The students will learn to read music notation and rhythms. The students will compose songs on their recorders using their knowledge about music, and the students will have the opportunity to perform their recorders in a concert for their families and peers. The recorders allow students to make meaningful musical experiences.
