Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to be able to provide all of the third and fourth graders on my campus with a recorder and a case that they can use at school and then be able to take home when the school year ends. In addition, I would be able to purchase the entire recorder family to teach the students about each of the instruments in the recorder family.

This will make an enormous impact with my students because each third and fourth grader on my campus will have an instrument to help them continue to joyfully develop their musical skills, music appreciation, and creativity as a part of a musical community within their classroom.

As an educator in a Title I school, I believe whole-heartedly that every student is entitled to a high-quality music education and this project will be a stepping stone to give my third and fourth graders access to this mission. I am not in a position to be able to provide each student with an instrument that they can take home at the end of the school year but with this project each child will be given that opportunity.
