Located in an economically disadvantaged community, our high school – which features a T-STEM academic curriculum – is a public school with very few dollars available for sports. Helmets are the most important piece of safety equipment in football and must be replaced or reconditioned every two years.
Our student-athletes need reconditioned helmets in order to compete in 2025.
During reconditioning, football helmets are deconstructed; each individual piece is inspected for cracks, deterioration and other damage, and damaged parts are replaced. Helmets then are repainted and polished for a smooth finish. This project will enable 15 of our existing helmets to be reconditioned.
Help our players be safe as we develop leaders who understand the importance of teamwork, humility, and perseverance through football.
