My Students
Our students are special because they are hard-working kids and have the ability to achieve greatness with limited resources. This year the sixth grade students were given Chromebooks to use within our classrooms, however, we do not have proper charging stations/carts to store our Chromebooks.
As a teacher, I would really like our to see our Chromebooks last for many years.
I feel that having Chromebook charging carts would provide a safe place to store our devices and help us achieve our goal of making these devices last for many years to come.
My Project
Having a place to safely house our Chromebooks will benefit our students greatly. At the moment, we are using iPad charging stations to house our Chromebooks. The cords are constantly getting tangled, the table often gets bumped, and students are constantly getting confused about which slot is for their device. Having a safe place to plug our Chromebooks into at the end of each class will make a difference in the longevity of our devices. It will also help us to be efficient when passing the devices out at the beginning of the class period and collecting them at the end.
