Recess Transformation: A Mobile Equipment Cart for Every Student

My Project

At our Title I school, I am continuously inspired by the vitality, curiosity, and resilience of my students. Every day, I witness their eagerness to learn and move, even when resources are limited. Their energy, laughter, and determination remind me that active play isn’t just a break, it’s a cornerstone of growth that nurtures physical health, social skills, and self-confidence.

The physical education recess cart is the cornerstone of transforming our recess into active play.

This mobile resource will make a world of difference by providing a diverse range of play equipment exactly when our students need it. Additionally, offering peanut-free and tree nut-free snacks during PE will help combat hunger and keep our students energized. These nutritious snacks are crucial for maintaining focus during activities, ultimately supporting improved academic success.

The goal of this project is to ensure that every student, regardless of background, can enjoy active play. By investing in the recess cart and healthy snacks, we are not only filling a resource gap but also fostering an inclusive, supportive environment that empowers our children to thrive physically, emotionally, and academically.
