This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Recess allows our students the opportunity to take a much-needed break from the rigid structure of the academic classroom. Recess allows students a time to recharge and return more focused and ready to learn.

Since physical activity during recess leads to improved cognitive abilities, it is imperative that our students have access to the appropriate resources.

Jump ropes and balls would ensure that my students are active during this time. Having enough resources would help everyone have the same opportunity for play.
