Recess and Snack Necessities

Help me give my students a daily snack and be prepared for the cold Minnesota winters at recess everyday. Daily students in my class come to school without snack and winter gear for recess.

My Students

I have a wonderful 2nd grade classroom with 24 eager to learn students. Like most 7-8 year old children, they need a learning environment that promotes movement and active engagement in learning. The more they get to engage in the learning activity, the more they learn. They seek out learning activities that allow them to be hands-on, creative, and free to explore. They love to learn and I absolutely love to see their smiling faces while engaged in learning activities.

My Project

Minnesota winters can be very snowy and cold. My students go out to recess daily and many forget their snow pants, boots, hats, and gloves or don't have any.

Also, many of my students come to school daily without a snack.

They either can't afford to bring one or they forget to pack one from home. We have a longer morning, so many students get very hungry before lunch and need a snack to keep them engaged in learning.

Your donations will help keep my students warm and get nourished to have a nice, comfortable day of learning at school.
