This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In this turbulent world, it is so important for our young people to have a space to recenter, energize, and find opportunities to engage with their mental health. Having a room in our school for students to engage with their wellbeing, will help them become more invested in school and foster success. Comforting furniture like a small couch and loveseat and an area rug to stretch out on will go a long way in assisting them to achieve and strive for a healthy mindset.
By donating to this project you will help students to engage in mental health practices in order for them to find calm in a chaotic world.
Students are experiencing stress from all different directions, socially, at home, academically, etc. By creating a welcoming and comfortable space for them to recenter and energize themselves, you will be a supporter of their overall well-being. This space will also allow our counseling staff to hold groups and workshops in an environment that will enable our students to be their best selves. To make this happen, we need your support and we will be ever so grateful. Thank you!
