Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our recording studio has been extremely popular for creating social action-themed music and podcasts. Over the years students have recorded songs against domestic violence and supporting the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. Middle schoolers have also used the studio to make podcasts supporting gun control and detailing the toll that COVID has taken on The Lower East Side.
But with that popularity comes a lot of wear and tear.
Some of the soundproof walls are falling apart. They're quite costly so this project is to repair one part of the roof. All in all, we need 6 panels, but this will be a great start.
