Rebuilding Kindergarteners Hope after the Tornado

My students need new manipulatives, decorations, and other basic supplies and classroom furniture to start the new school year beacuse our classroom was destroyed in the May 20th Tornado.

My Students

Imagine a classroom full of colors, full of materials that are hands-on. Remember a place where you can grow and strive to be anything you want to be. My students need a place where they can grow, change and experience the world.

The students in my classroom are the most resilient students you can imagine.

They have been through an F5 tornado and have come out on the positive side. They have lost everything in their world and have stilled looked at the brighter side of things. My students are happy, funny, loving and caring students. They are so friendly and hungry for love and attention. They love to learn new things. They are heroes.

My Project

These resources will provide an environment that will encourage learning and comfort. They have lost their homes and their school. These materials will help to rebuild their hope, rebuild their comfort and rebuild their drive to learn and grow. These materials will provide a place for students to be able to grow and to start to forget about what we went through and start moving on. They need these materials so that they can become students again and children again. So they can learn, grow and experience new things.

I can't express to you what we experienced on May 20th.

It was a horrible experience and my students are my heroes. They deserve an area that supports love and comfort. Help me to make that classroom for them.
