Rebuilding after Hurricane Harvey

My students need individual headphones for the times we are able to use the few iPad and/or computers in the school. The Hot Dots will be used during small group math stations.

My Students

We are a very diverse school community.

We are a school that received extensive flood damage from Hurricane Harvey.

We have been relocated to a nearby school while our school is being rebuilt. Some of my students are also rebuilding their homes.

My students bring with them many different talents and abilities. My students range from non-verbal resource students to gifted and talented students. It is a wonderful mixed ability group. Several of my students receive free or reduced lunch.

My Project

My students will be able to use the headphones during math rotations. We have a limited number of ipads available but we do not have any headphones. Our headphones were destroyed in the flood from the hurricane.

My students will use the Hot Dots during small group math rotations.

They will use them to learn and review basic addition and subtraction math skills. They love to use technology in various forms and they love to use fun devices such as Hot Dots. Kids learn best with hands on activities. The Hot Dots also provide instant feedback to help students with their learning.
