My Project
I have been teaching high school mathematics at Carlynton Jr/Sr High School (a low income, underperforming school) for 23 years. My teaching style is based on engagement and student collaboration. My current classroom furniture is outdated, cramped and limits arrangements that foster this type of learning. Upgraded tables and chairs will enhance the learning environment by a creating a more comfortable, functional and engaging space for students. With movable, ergonomic furniture, students will be able to easily form small groups, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and the free exchange of ideas. This kind of setup fosters a more interactive classroom culture where students can comfortably work together, share resources, and learn from one another.
