My Students

Have you ever wondered how to bring the sights and sounds of nature right into the classroom? It has been made possible with the use of a "Hawk Eye Nature Cam"! Students can see and hear the action taking place right before them.

I currently teach fourth grade science, math, and writing to a group of talented individual learners.

It has been exciting to have a classroom full of scientists with energy! We are interested in studying, observing, and helping the birds around our school and in our area.

My Project

My students will be able to use the Hawk Cam to capture birds raising their young in a birdhouse. The students will be able to observe the action and hear the sounds as they are happening. The students will be able to identify the birds and process the information being presented to them with the use of the books and guides. Students will also be able to keep journals to be shared with the community.

The goal of this "Furry Vengeance" project is to raise students’ awareness regarding issues that challenge our wildlife.

The use of the requested materials will benefit the environment and the bird friendly habitats surrounding our school. The motivation to learn about preserving wildlife and protecting nature will be enhanced with this project success. I know that you will make a difference in the lives of my students who want to learn.
