My students need hands on material for reading that connects them to their world. TIME for Kids will give my students their own magazines to share at home.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are exceptional students who work very hard to be successful. Most students are English Second Language learners and are striving hard to make their families proud.
Many of my students are immigrants new to America trying to learn a new language and culture, along with their math, science, writing, and reading.
We are a Title I school working hard to make our budget stretch to meet the needs of each student. Seeing my students succeed is reason I teach!
My Project
TIME for Kids is a great resource to help my students connect to real world events. I want my students to use the material to find new interest that they can research to learn more about and have interesting things to connect to for their writing.
A major goal for my class is to be fluent readers and writers and enjoy learning every day.
Using this resource will give my students exemplary examples of writing with the purpose to inform. Students often struggle with this form of writing. I am looking for ways to educate, excite, and inform my students every day.
