Help me give my students manipulatives to aid in the understanding of visual concepts through the use of visuals, scaffolding learning and hands own constructions with pattern tiles to increase stem abilities.
I love the natural curiosity of my students. They enjoy trying different methods to find solutions to problems. My students like challenges and are always determined to complete and master new concepts that they are not familiar with to advance their education. Students in my classroom enjoy math and creating models to represent solutions to problems. I love this skill about my students because this is necessary to be successful in science, math, and life.
Students will be able to use pattern blocks, algebra tiles, and tangrams to visualize equations, functions, geometric properties, and complicated sequences to master problem-solving skills needed to perform many technical jobs skills.
These STEM-related manipulatives will help me as a teacher both increase student engagement and prepare students to meet the needs of a technological society.
Snacks will be provided for their hard work and efforts. They will also help fill the void of emptiness for growing young people that never get enough to eat. Tangible rewards make young people feel valued and take pride in their work. It really is too many young people for me to provide snacks from my pay. I do try!
