This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have Autism, but this doesn't limit their potential. They are inspiring individuals who overcome tremendous obstacles to achieve an education.
Over 70% of students at our school travel by bus to get an education.
They are a diverse group from all across the city. I want to help them achieve their dreams by giving them the right tools to actualize their learning. As students with autism, they struggle with communication skills, and I see my job as one that can help bridge that gap through my curriculum.
My Project
I am requesting an iPad to help bring learning to life for my students in real world, applicable ways. They will use the iPad in project-based learning with their peers. This will be a powerful communication tool for them to be able to take pictures, write stories, and construct new ways of learning and interacting with each other.
Having the right tools will make all the difference for my students.
