"There's nothing better than live music. It's raw energy, and raw energy feeds the soul." -Dhani Jones Please help me feed my students' souls by giving them the opportunity to experience the magic of live music.

I teach pre-kindergarten through third grade music in a small Title I school district in New Jersey.

My students love learning about instruments, but I have a limited instrument collection, and video demonstrations can only do so much. While many of them love learning, listening to and playing music, most have never had the opportunity to hear live music from a professional group of musicians.

My Project

I would love to bring a quartet from the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra into my school. The program is titled "Something for Everyone" and features solo and group performances, witty and interesting instrument demonstrations, and a whole lot of musical fun. The performance repertoire is diverse in genre and origin, and my students will love every minute of it.

An opportunity like this will be incredibly meaningful and inspirational for my young students who are just forming their musical tastes and interests.

This visit will provide an unforgettable experience and a greater love for music in each of my 340 students.
