My Students
My students come from low-income neighborhoods. 100% of our students are on free or reduced lunch. Some of our students are homeless and stay in shelters or with other relatives. A successful educational career may be their ticket to a better life.
My Project
Students sometimes have a hard time determining the relevance of the math they are learning. With this program, we will be able to apply real-life scenarios to the math concepts we are learning in class. In the unfortunate circumstance that we would be forced to go back to virtual learning, media4math would be a great resource for the kids to use at home while working on the computer. There are also games on the program, which every kid loves, so the competition aspect would improve achievement in my class as well.
