My Project

Arriving to teacher prep week we were informed that color was not an option in our printing this school year. It's no mystery that our students excel when they are able to see themselves in the work that they are given. Because of this limitation we were informed of, we are unable to provide and highlight the infinite amount of color in the human skin.

Getting this color printer will allow us to create engaging activities that provide sliding glass doors across academic activities.

The sensory tools and flexible seating will encourage scholars to interact with lesson materials that they can see themselves in. By doing this they are creating a deeper connection between themselves and community around them.

Historically these students have had limited access to the tools that they need in school to learn and grow. It is my dream to give these students an opportunity to feel included, welcomed and excited about coming to school every day. I believe that this project is a great starting point headed in that direction.
