Real Life Food Chain - Owl Pellet Dissection

My students need 20 owl pellets and dissection tools with a guide so that they can tangibly experience a food chain in action.

I teach Living Environment, also known as biology, to ninth graders in an urban New York State school.

Urban students rarely get to tangibly experience food chains directly. Often, they never interact with a variety of living organisms and never witness the food chain in action.

Dissecting owl pellets is the perfect way for students to experience a real-life food chain in a hands-on way!

You can give my students the opportunity to experience an actual artifact of a food chain!
