Real Jewelry Making

Help me give my students a new way of expressing their art through jewelry making by making with real beads. My classroom has no actual pencil sharpeners and we use a lot of colored pencils.

My Project

My students do not have much, and school is a struggle for many, in my visual arts class, I am trying to give them something positive about coming to school. There are so many different personalities and cultures from my kindergarten all the way through my sixth graders and I want them to have a successful year.

In the projects we have done so far this year, I have seen some amazing talent coming out in their art.

This jewelry-making project is to give them something different from other art projects to creatively show who they are as individuals. It is also something to teach patience as jewelry-making is a process and cannot be done quickly.
