Help me give my students these new books at their level. There are 3 young readers without books at home and deserve access to real books. This will make a huge difference in their motivation to read.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is dedicated to teaching everyone through project-based learning as a social justice educational tool. We are a progressive, public, charter school devoted to teaching every child the skills and concepts they need to be successful in our ever-changing world.
We have created an engaging, interactive online learning program but cannot replicate the materials and books we have in the classroom.
We serve a large Mexican American population, as well as a diverse group of families in the North County San Diego area. First and foremost, my students need to be reading every day to be prepared for fourth grade. While they do have access to books online, there are complications: 1) Not everyone has consistent internet access, (2) sometimes siblings are sharing devices, and (3) nothing replaces a real book for kids' development.
We do not receive as much funding as local public schools and do not burden our parents with expenses; therefore, we are responsible for our own classroom materials. Now we face a real challenge with our school closed, and students at home with limited resources. Please help them by helping me get books and other items into their hands.
My Project
These particular students are not only reading far below grade level, but they are also stuck at home without access to real books. This project would provide real books to their doorstep. It would engage them and motivate them to read daily and continue the progress that they have started making in the classroom. It also supports their families by giving them books to read together and share the joy of reading together. Too much time on the screen. These deserve real books with pages to turn and the feeling of pride in owning their own books that they can read!
