Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year has been exciting and rewarding. Having to create my own curriculum while implementing effective MRS strategies within the music classroom has come with some interesting changes. I want my students to have the ability to enjoy the excitement of the world of music and fine arts.
My students are very creative and I want them to expand their creativity with knowledge and information that reaffirms their culture and identities through musical expression.
Furthermore, with it being Black History Month, I want to affirm my student's identity and introduce them to a world of Music and Art outside of the usual. Items like an iPad, folio case, magnetic folder bins, and write wipe organization charts to complete MRS strategies while engaging minds on racial equality will aid the opportunity to learn, create, and express themselves through music and performance. We will implement digital audio workstations as well and my students will have the opportunity to learn, create and express themselves through music and performance that relates to their culture and identities.
