This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my kindergarteners is their excitement for learning and the joy they bring into the classroom from the very first day. They are so full of energy and are ready to explore a new world. To support their growth, I want to create a welcoming and organized space where they can feel ready to learn from day one.

With materials like name tags and paw print floor stickers, I can help students feel safe and know exactly where to go during those exciting first days.

Clipboards will give them the freedom to write and draw anywhere, helping them stay engaged and mobile. Fun and educational tools like dinosaur sorting toys, 3D wooden shapes, and Montessori math materials will make hands-on learning a daily adventure and help build foundational skills in counting, sorting, and problem-solving.

These resources will set the tone for a successful start to the school year. Many of these students have never been in a classroom before. This will be their first time in a classroom setting and I want to make sure I set them up for success by providing the materials they need. The majority of the students in my class are multilingual learners and all of the resources listed will help them feel included, challenged and ready to take on kindergarten.
