My Project

Having hands-on experiences with letters can significantly benefit students in developing their reading skills. Having these CVC word building activity sets will engage multiple senses, such as touch and sight. This multisensory approach enhances the learning experience by allowing students to physically interact with letters. This can improve retention and understanding.

Hands-on activities make letter recognition more tangible.

By touching and feeling the shapes of letters, students reinforce their ability to identify and distinguish between different letters. This lays a strong foundation for reading.

Many hands-on activities involve associating sounds with letters. For example, creating words using letter tiles or playing with letter magnets can help students connect the visual representation of letters with their corresponding sounds, promoting phonemic awareness.

Incorporating a variety of hands-on activities into my teaching approach can cater to different learning styles and creates a dynamic and enriching environment for students to develop their reading skills.
