My Students
"The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." -Dr. Seuss
My students are eager to read and learn. Please help them "go" to new places with books!
I teach a large kindergarten class made up of 20 eager and ready to learn 5-year-olds who live in a high poverty area.
My students come from a large, rural elementary school near the coast of South Carolina. Our school has pre-kindergarten through fifth grade classes.
My Project
By incorporating new leveled nonfiction books into our classroom, my students will be given new reading materials they would not have access to otherwise. Leveled books give students fun reading materials that they can read without struggling over every word. They also make reading fun for my students.
Early literacy and reading are crucial for students' academic and personal success.
By having interesting books in my classroom, my students will have access to fun and educational reading materials that they can read by themselves.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
