This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My co-teacher and I teach a class of 30 amazing second graders. Our class is an Integrated Co-Teaching class that consists of special education and general education students. We have been trying to instill a love for reading this year with the incorporation of Mystery Readers. Our students look forward to their readers coming in each week. Each mystery reader reads a book of their choice and then my students ask them to read "The Book With No Pictures" and crack up when the grownup reads it. Seeing their joy coming from a handheld book and not a piece of technology is so rewarding.
With your help, we will get "The Book With No Pictures" in the hands of every student.
We would love to surprise our students with a book of their own to take home. With the card stock we are requesting, we can create a book with no pictures for each child to design themselves. Please help us make their day! Thank you.
