it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The use of these headphones is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in completing one-third of the daily reading activities. Using technology is an ongoing practice in my classroom. These headphones will allow my students to work efficiently and be exposed to working materials while meeting their daily reading goals, as well as provide a comfortable environment for them to complete their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the reading program requires the students to complete their tasks with minimal equipment. It is evident that nothing lasts forever, but when the classroom is off to a great start with working equipment, success will be within our reach. Even though my students are required to bring in their headphones as one of the required classroom supplies, some are not fortunate enough to fulfill this request. As an educator, a great amount of my income is spent in my classroom from the beginning of the school year until the end of the school year. One of my goals is to equip the students with what they need to be successful despite not being able to afford the necessary materials to do so. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not on whether their materials are going to work or not. In addition to not being worried about whether things work or not, in this technology-literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new materials such as these headphones to better utilize the technology component!
