it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their resilience, their curiosity, and their unwavering hope. Coming from a diverse and often struggling community, they face challenges that many others may never experience—yet they show up each day with open hearts and a strong desire to grow. They are eager learners, full of questions and ideas, always ready to engage even when the material is tough or the day has been long. Their determination to succeed and their ability to dream big, despite obstacles, inspires me daily. I see in them not just the bright future they are working toward, but also the strength, compassion, and brilliance they already carry within.
As a fifth-grade teacher, I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and prepared to learn every day.
As this school year winds down, I’m looking ahead and planning for the next group of eager learners who will walk through my door. To ensure a strong start to the upcoming academic year, I’m requesting help replenishing essential classroom supplies.
Pencils, markers, notebooks, glue sticks, dry erase markers, and other basic materials are the tools that help my students engage in learning from day one. These supplies get used heavily throughout the year, and restocking them now means I can focus on welcoming my new students with open arms and a well-equipped classroom.
