My Project

I teach first grade at a Title I school, where I work with energetic, curious, and compassionate learners. Many of my students face challenges outside of the classroom, but they come to school ready to grow, connect, and dream big.

This project is all about building a classroom rooted in representation, readiness, and love, so I’m requesting a selection of diverse and inclusive books that allow students to see themselves—and others—reflected in the stories we read.

I am also seeking phonics and literacy tools to support early reading and word-building skills.

Every item in this project has been carefully selected to help my students start the year prepared, supported, and ready to thrive.

This project helps create a first-grade learning environment where love, equity, and learning all grow together. Your support will help us build not just a classroom, but a community of curious, confident, and empowered learners from the very first day.
