Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students enjoy STEM projects related to aeronautics. Testing our rockets at various launch trajectories allows us to find the optimal angle for flight distance. Varying our fin styles provides another way to utilize the engineering process for obtaining the most favorable results.
As we learn about the missions currently being conducted by NASA, our related "hands on" projects multiply our excitement in this STEM field.
Many of my young students have dreams of a career in aeronautics and/or want to work at NASA! This project will provide materials for over 400 students to participate in this engaging and impactful project!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
