it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach art to over 600 students in grades Y5 (preschool) through 8th grade. Every scholar in our building comes to my art room every week. They are creative, resourceful, and ready to create some awesome art!
We are redesigning our art program to best meet the needs of our scholars; this means that we will have new projects this year, with focuses on specific art styles such as illustration and comic book art.
There is a ton of talent in our building, and we are so excited to see what our scholars can create!
With this project, I would like to kick off our illustration unit. Students will use these Crayola markers to explore a variety of art techniques based on grade level, such as shading, line, color choice, and complementary colors. These will be used every single day to create art, which will then be displayed across our school and during art and music showcases. We can't wait to see all of the amazing art that will be created this year!
