This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am an Early Childhood Special Education teacher of active, adorable, exceptional 3-5 yr olds.
My students attend a wonderful Title I campus.
At their young age, socialization and language-based activities are important. They are young children of various disabilities who come to school beginning at 3 yrs of age to receive early interventions to help them develop in social, language, fine and gross motor skills and other skill areas. They are happy, active learners who make special friendships with their classmates and Gen Ed inclusion classes. They enjoy school and are engaged through their activities working with adults and classmates. They bring a smile to everybody and are known to many as the cutest class in the school!
My Project
My students learn through hands on activities. They love to scribble, and draw. The class does not have an art easel.
The painting center will be used for art but also for fine motor skills also, such as prewriting skill activities .The class is made up of 15 Early childhood Spec Ed students ages 3-5 yrs.
Being able to stand up to paint and write with different utensils help develop their muscles and prewriting skills. The gift would be greatly appreciated and used. Their art pieces and writing samples will be done in a different and exciting way with a brand new art easel!
