Our school is guided by our 4 PAWS: Be Polite! Be Prepared! Be Prompt! Be Productive! We are an urban, public elementary school serving approximately 360 students in grades kindergarten through grade 5. 100% of our students receive free lunch (CEP School), 20% of our students are English language learners, and even more come from dual language homes.
Celebrating the diverse cultures of our students and families is very important, and as a community school, we work to respect their traditions, and work to meet the needs of families and students before, during and after the school day.
My Project
We recently received a donation of backpacks and other school supplies to distribute to all students at our school. One thing that was missing were hand-held pencil sharpeners. This is a small, but necessary tool for students to be able to do their assignments at home. The pencil sharpeners will be added to the backpacks and distributed to all students during a drive back to school event scheduled prior to the start of school because all students besides pre- K, K, and special populations will be distance learning until at least December.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
