My first graders arrive each day excited for a new learning adventure!

Thier natural curiosity, positive attitudes, and endless energy are a teacher's dream class. Our school serves an ethnically diverse student population with 60% of students coming from low-income homes.

My Project

First graders love to share their thinking with classmates! This easel would allow students to show their learning with dry erase markers as we solve math problems, write stories, and record science observations. Students enjoy taking turns to be the "expert" and work on the whiteboard. Our classroom is an open space design. We do not have traditional walls with whiteboards or bulletin boards. The easel is the only interactive white board display space for our classroom.

Group activities using the easel support language development, social skills, and boost memory.

The adjustable height allows every student to clearly see the visual displays and the included clips can be used to display completed charts for future reference.
