Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My second grade students are energetic, inquisitive and innovative learners. They understand that exercising and enriching the body is just as important as exercising and enriching the mind.

In the classroom, they are active learners, using their hands and bodies individually and collaboratively to explore and discover new ideas and skills.

They always think of innovative ideas and different ways to do things. Due to a lack of materials and equipment, my students sometimes are not able to put their fabulous ideas into action. With your help, my students will have the materials and equipment to exercise and enrich their growing bodies and minds. My students will be profoundly grateful to you for your generous donation that will surely transform their bodies and minds.

My Project

My students are English Language Learners, and many are newcomers to this country. They are eager to learn new vocabulary words every day. Many practice their pronunciation of words with me throughout the day. They enjoy listening to stories during read aloud time every single day. It's amazing to see my students picking up the same book and reading it with expression and fluency as I have modeled.

I would like to provide my English Language Learners with the opportunity to record themselves reading one of their favorite books during independent reading time.

I know that this will motivate them to learn the English language faster as this will allow them to listen to themselves and self correct. This will give them the confidence to become better readers and stronger learners. They need speak and listen recording microphones.
