Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These books will help create a classroom library for my upcoming 3rd-grade students. This will be my second year teaching, but my first year teaching 3rd grade. My goal is for students in my classroom to be able to find books that suit their interests. I strive for my classroom library to be a place that my students truly enjoy. These books would be used daily during their independent reading time, which is why it is important to be able to provide them with different choices.
With these new books, my students will be able to remain engaged during independent reading time and continue to grow their love of reading.
Having different levels available will allow all readers to enjoy choosing a book from our classroom library. I will teach them to care for these books as if they were their very own. Reading from our classroom library will allow my students to become stronger readers throughout the school year.
