My class has chosen to be Virtual this year. We attend live classes during the day and practice homework after school hours. I will teach 25 students over a Google Classroom. We are preparing for a wonderful successful year of learning virtually.
We are all from different backgrounds and different brick and mortar school, but together we will make a solid blended group of learners.
I love how my students are learned to become wizards at fixing their own computer problems, navigating chrome tabs, sharing toys and ideas virtually, sharing their screens, and make friends online.
It is amazing how first grade students can thrive in a totally virtual class. We will be successful academically as well as emotionally. We are planning on a great year for these students.
My Project
Raz Kids is an online resource of books for students to ready through out the day. The website and books will be used multiple time during the day for guided reading practice. This site provides students with choice in selecting books to read at home. We are a Virtual Public school and students need books to read that are high quality and fun to read while at home.
Raz Kids provided level books that student enjoy read independently.
This site is user friendly and allows children choice in what they read. Books are in English and Spanish and provide students support to promote diverse learning.
The literacy program is designed to use as a teaching tool to guide children in learning how to read. Students can work on reading skills they need to become successful readers. Please help us with making a class of readers by funding our grant for Raz Kids.
