Ready, Set, Print!

My students need one color printer and ink cartridges in order to print their work.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Warden's classroom raised $551

My Students

Help us print! My students write stories and find pictures for their research reports, but we don't have anywhere in our school building to print in color.

I am a 3rd grade teacher in a high poverty school in the Northwest.

Over 85% of our students are from low-income households. There is also a wide range of diversity in our classroom, with 9 different native languages being spoken by all 25 of my students. Despite the challenges of their home lives, all of the students are kind, hard-working, and they have a tremendous desire to learn.

My Project

I am requesting one color printer and several ink cartridges for my students to have access to throughout the school year. Having this printer in the classroom would allow them to type and print their writing for publishing. They could also create colorful title pages for their stories and their personal poetry books. When they do their research reports for social studies or science, they will be able to download color pictures from the Internet and then print them instantly in our classroom for their project. Not only will the students be able to use this printer for their own personal work, but I will also be able to utilize it for creating colorful visuals to teach the curriculum to my students. Teaching becomes more meaningful to children when visuals and words have color!

By making a donation to this project, you will help give my 3rd graders and myself access to a wonderful teaching tool.

With this color printer, my students will be able to print their hard work and research right before their eyes. Please help us to get this printer in our classroom to help us print our work like true authors and researchers!
