This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class is comprised of 24 energetic and inquisitive Transitional Kindergartners whose families come from different countries from around the world. For many of them, this is their first school experience and we want to make this experience as positive as possible.
My Project
My students and I need a color printer for the classroom. Our classroom is the furthest classroom from the office. My assistant and I often run to the office when we need an extra copy or need to print pictures on demand. And sometimes we find out the office printer is broken. This leads me to print class sets of papers at home, which can get expensive.
This year, the printer can also be of great benefit since I have a visually impaired student.
Being visually impaired means having low vision and a decrease in color perception. The Epson printer and ink will enable me to print pictures and assignments as well as any other learning resource I may need in order to create colorful and engaging lessons for all of my students but especially for my visually impaired student.
