Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students attend elementary school level and reside in one of the poorest congressional districts of our nation. The children receive special education services in a Integrated Collaboration Teaching (ICT) setting.
Students with disabilities who receive Integrated Co-Teaching services are educated with age appropriate peers in the general education classroom.
ICT provides access to the general education curriculum and specially designed instruction to meet students' individual needs.
These students are motivated and eager to learn. Regardless of their status quo, they attend school everyday ready to learn and succeed.
A large percentage of my students live in unstable housing conditions in the South Bronx.
Therefore, I believe that my students should have the opportunity to have all the materials they need in the classroom to thrive and for that reason I am requesting the following materials: Clorox Wipes, Lysol Disinfecting Spray, Children's Masks and Ink.
The Clorox Wipes and Lysol Disinfecting Spray will be used to clean and disinfect the children's desk, books, materials and toys to eliminate germs, viruses and bacteria from surfaces.
The students also need children's mask to avoid spreading germs when constantly coughing and sneezing because they have allergies, cold, flu or
Covid-19.
Finally, the ink will be used to duplicate color visual aide for students groups and others colorful resources for writing, reading and more...
