My Students

Picture this...It's the start of a brand-new school day and I welcome each student by their first name and a friendly wave as they enter our classroom. I exclaim, "Good morning class of 2030. It's a great day to be a Roadrunner!"

Our classroom is a safe place for my students to explore, learn, play, and grow.

They are taught that they can grow up and become anything they desire and that education is their key to a better life. As a teacher, I focus on career readiness and discuss their goals of graduating from high school and attending college or trade schools in the near future. My students are passionate about their learning goals and need some TLC emotionally and financially to succeed in school and ultimately in life.

My Project

The impact of COVID-19 on education and specifically my 4th grade classroom has been tremendous. Faced with uncertainty of the future, my students have attended school in person this year and have had to change the way that they socially interact and learn. It is challenging to maintain social distancing, keep classroom materials organized and safe, and to have enough classroom school supplies so that my students don't have to share during the COVID pandemic.

The Lakeshore seat chair sacks will enable my students to keep their necessary books and supplies ready and at arms length to help promote social distancing and safety.

The various organizational caddies, book bins, and pencil & crayon sharpeners will help my students to organize access their supplies during the school day. Many of my students are dealing with anxiety and ADHD and will benefit from using the wobble seat when needed. Students can excel in my classroom by having their own pair of scissors, an eraser, and thin markers for their personal use. These classroom materials will greatly benefit my classroom and help my students to navigate through this tough learning environment.
