My Students

A typical day in my classroom is very busy and productive.

Students love to learn and are eager to do hands-on activities in the classroom and the laboratory setting. "Opportunity is often missed because it is disguised as hard work."

My students are from a tight-knit, rural community who love to show their school spirit and attend many activities provided by our school. We have small classes, and students get along well with each other. Our school shows pride through the hallways and has good school spirit.

My Project

Materials in the classroom include a request for a handheld moisture meter for crop harvest. Moisture meters let you know what percent moisture your seed is at so you know when it is ready to harvest.

"Science and technology coupled with improved human capital have been powerful drivers of positive change in the performance and evolution of smallholder systems." - Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

STEM and STEAM within the agriculture field go hand in hand and empowering women to get involved and directly into the science fields is a goal of this project!
