Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Let me tell you about a sharp group of students whom through your help will stay on point this school. My students consist of a wide variety of ethnicities from low socioeconomic homes. Ninety percent of the students are English Language Learners and have not been in the county long. In order to provide my students the best opportunity for achieving, it is important that the materials are in place.
My goal is to allow my parents to focus on giving their child the support they need academically, mentally and physically at home, and not have to worry about purchasing the supplies we traditionally ask the parents to buy.
Pencils and glue are used on a daily basis during all acdemic subjects to enhance, express and assess my students' level of knowledge. Folders are used to send homework and correspondance from school to home and visa versa.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
