Young students have a limited attention span. As a teacher, I work with that span and gradually try to extend it. But with 30 other students around them, focusing on their own work gets to be a challenge. I don't want to cut them off from discussions with their peers, but I want them to be able to bring their attention to the iPads when needed.
My students need headphones to focus their attention during computer time.
They will not only prevent others from bothering each student, but they will also prevent the computer students from distracting the rest of the class.
