This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagine if you could exercise, learn, and have fun at the same time. That is what I want my students to experience when they go out to P.E. My goal is to help my students understand that exercising is fun and most importantly, it will keep them healthy.
I teach twenty-five second graders who are energetic and take every opportunity to enjoy learning.
My students like it when I take them outside for P.E. We usually, do jumping jacks, skip, and run around the field. I want my students to experience other types of physical activities like, jumping ropes, or playing an organize game of basketball.
My Project
I would like for my students to have access to balls, jump ropes, a physical fitness CD, an indoor fitness activity kit, and a resource book that provides physical fitness activities for young children. These resources will make a difference in my class. For instance, The Health and Fitness CD Library will get my kids moving and most importantly, teach them language arts skills. My students will exercise and learn at the same time.
It is at this young age that students learn to develop good exercising habits.
