My Students
My students are your typical, small-town children growing up in the twenty-first century. Their world is constantly changing and at four years old, they do not have much control over anything that happens. My goal is to always be a constant in my students' lives and help cultivate a love of learning in each and every student who walks through my door by offering love and compassion.
Once you walk into our classroom, you are part of our family.
We work together to achieve goals such as letter recognition, letter sounds, and counting. We make sure that we are following the golden rule and treating others how we want to be treated, so we can all learn as much as possible during the time we have together.
My Project
This project has many different tools to help my students get a better understanding of their numbers and counting.
At four years old it is important to make sure to have things that are tangible and hands on.
When my students can manipulate objects they are able to better understand the concept.
Another big part of this project is a class set of seat sacks that will allow my students to have their supplies at their desks ready to go so we can transition from one activity to another quickly. This will also keep them from accidentally putting their stuff in someone else's cubby.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
