Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in a Title one school located in Bronx, NY. My 4th grade math students are hard working and eager to learn each day. However, most students are significantly below grade level in Math. Although we follow a curriculum, it is often too difficult for them if I don’t provided modified materials on a daily basis. I teach 54 students so this requires a lot of paper and a lot of printing. With only one copy machine accessible to over 90 teachers, it is often difficult to get these copies. I am also responsible for buying the paper I need for the copies and the cost of this adds up quickly. Having my own printer and a supply of paper would ensure that I could get the printed resources my students need to succeed!
